A complete guide to the seating plan at the Singapore National Stadium

A complete guide to the seating plan at the Singapore National Stadium

The Singapore National Stadium is easily one of the most sought-after concert venues in the city – and for good reason. Despite a variety of other venues available, this iconic stadium stands out with its massive 55,000-seat capacity and the accolade of being the largest dome in the world. Over the years, it has drawn a stellar line-up of international superstars including Harry Styles. Guns N’ Roses, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift,  thanks to its state-of-the-art sound system and well-designed space. With the significant sums of money spent on concert tickets, coupled with the chaos and stress of ticketing queues and limited availability, choosing the right seat becomes all the more important to make the most of the experience. Ticketing platforms typically release general seating plans, but the ideal spot depends largely on personal preferences. Some fans enjoy being on their feet in the standing pens, immersed in the energy of the crowd. Others may prefer a comfortable seat to enjoy the music with a full view of the stage. Some also opt for side-stage seats for a closer glimpse of the performers. To help make the decision easier, we’ve broken down the seating options based on the different types of concert-goers. Seating layouts can vary from show to show depending on stage design, so use this guide as a starting point when planning where to sit for the next big gig at the National Stadium. Last year, we’ve already brought your attention to one of 2025’s most anticipated openings – Rainforest Wild Asia, Singapore’s fifth zoological park at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, set to launch on March 12, 2025. And it’s not just us who are excited – it’s even been ranked among the world’s top must-visit spots for the year.  Since its announcement in November, preparations have been in full swing – the animal team at Mandai has been managing transfers for the past two months, following a translocation plan that’s still underway.  But before that, here’s why the park is the talk of the town: Rainforest Wild Asia is the first of its kind – accessible from Mandai Wildlife West, the park lets you trek through a recreated Southeast Asian rainforest, complete with winding paths that reveal wildlife from both above and below ground. Although tailored for adventure lovers, the park is welcoming to all, with raised walkways and covered rest areas for families with strollers and wheelchair users, allowing everyone to explore its varied landscapes and wildlife at a relaxed pace. Netflix’s “dancing fairy” chef Jung Ho-young is bringing his iconic dishes from Culinary Class Wars to Singapore this March

After its first Culinary Class Wars collaboration in Season 1, Bulgogi Syo is back with a fresh face from Season 2. From March 9, 2026, the Korean hot stone grill specialist is teaming up with top 4 finalist chef Jung for his Singapore debut. With him come the iconic televised dishes that viewers have been dying to taste. For those who haven’t tuned in to the series yet, here’s a quick cheat sheet on chef Jung. Better known as the unofficial morale booster of the competition, chef Jung goes by the nickname “dancing fairy,” thanks to his habit of slipping into small victory dances whenever he’s locked in. But behind the easygoing energy is some serious experience – he has spent over 26 years in the kitchen, including three and a half years training in Japan. Today, he’s the man behind Udon Caden and Izakaya Caden in Korea. For a limited time, diners here can finally taste the dishes that quietly stole the spotlight on Culinary Class Wars Season 2. Front and centre is the much-talked-about Monk Fish Liver Chawanmushi ($10.90), a dish that became a talking point not just for its flavour – chef Jung famously designed a custom hook to hang the monkfish while butchering it. The flesh is charcoal-grilled with soy seasoning, while the liver is gently braised in a kombu-rich soy glaze. Both are folded into a silky steamed egg custard, finished with yuzu peel and a hint of wasabi.  Photograph: Chef Jung Ho-young/Bulgogi Syo Also making the trip: the Braised & Grilled Sea Eel, which a

Founded in 2008 by NPR Music’s creator Bob Boilen, NPR Tiny Desk is a series where artists perform stripped-down, intimate sets at a desk in NPR’s offices, giving viewers a closer, more personal look at their music. The platform has since hosted global superstars like Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Paramore, Sabrina Carpenter, Sting, Tame Impala, Sixpence None The Richer and so much more – odds are, the last artist you streamed has been there too. Photograph: NPR Music/Youtube Yeule (also known as Nat Cmiel), recently took over the famously intimate Tiny Desk stage in a stripped-back performance filmed at NPR’s offices in Washington, DC. Uploaded to NPR Music’s YouTube channel two and a half weeks ago, the session has already pulled in over 232,750 views (at the time of writing). Currently based in London, Yeule is a non-binary musician, performance artist, and painter with close to a million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their journey started early – they began releasing genre-defying music independently at just 14, steadily building a loyal global following. Since then, Yeule has released critically praised albums like Softscars (2023) and Evangelic Girl Is A

Singapore is officially one of the most authentic food destinations in the world

Singapore doesn’t need to brag about its food – the internet has already done it for us. According to a new study by travel insurance company InsureandGo, the Lion City ranks among the world’s top 15 most authentic food destinations, based on how real travellers describe their eating experiences online. Singapore clocked in at 15th place, with a score of 58.1, holding its own among cities famed for deeply ingrained food traditions. The research dug through 1.3 million Google Maps reviews of restaurants, cafĂ©s, and bars in more than 140 cities, looking for places diners repeatedly called “authentic”, “local,” and decidedly not a rip-off. The result: a ‘Gastronomic Authenticity Score’, which measures how often food spots feel genuinely rooted in local culture rather than designed for Instagram or inflated prices. At the very top of the list sits BogotĂĄ, which snagged a perfect score of 100. Quito, Taipei and MedellĂn followed close behind, with Latin American cities dominating more than half of the top ten rankings.  Asia still made a strong showing, with Taipei’s night markets helping it secure third place, while cities across Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore all landed in the top 15. All in all, we’re not exactly shocked by the results. There’s good food everywhere in Singapore – from hawker centres to an endless stream of amazing restaurants and cafĂ©s across the island. And if you’re still unconvinced, head out and pick a place to feast at here. Here are the top 15 cities wit

Long-running dessert boutique Lady M bid its “goodbye” not too long ago, leaving fans wondering if they’d ever get another bite of its iconic mille crepes again – only to waltz back into town with a pop-up at United Square this month. This will be followed by a full-scale return at Jewel Changi Airport. The pop-up will give you a taste of what’s to come before the brand’s permanent store reopens – one that’s billed as “the first of Lady M’s much-anticipated cake boutiques.” Photograph: Lady M SingaporeLady M Singapore's 2026 Year of the Horse Gift Set The pop-up will sell only limited-edition Chinese New Year gift sets, priced at $128 on-site, and $108 for online orders or collection. The festive set includes 32 mini crepe biscuits and a vegan leather horse-shaped charm. For those eager to get their hands on Lady M’s famous mille crepes cakes again, sad news – you’ll have to wait just a little while longer for the Jewel Changi Airport outlet to open.  Photograph: Lady M SingaporeLady M Singapore's 2026 Year of the Horse Gift Set – Vegan leather horse-shaped charm Lady M first appeared in Singapore in 2013 through a licensing deal with lifestyle company Caerus Holding, which officially ended on Dec 11, 2025. Don’t miss a rare Total Lunar Eclipse viewing session this March at Science Centre Singapore

Clear your calendar and look up this March because this phenomena doesn’t come around often. Science Centre Singapore is throwing the doors open for a front-row view of a Total Lunar Eclipse happening on March 3, 2026. And it’s kind of a big deal – not only does it fall on the 15th day of the Lunar New Year, it’s also the last total lunar eclipse visible anywhere in the world until December 31, 2028.  From evening onwards, the Moon will slowly slip into Earth’s shadow and emerge bathed in a deep, coppery red. And it’s not just the Moon stealing the spotlight – expect a sky dotted with Taurus, Orion, Canis Major, and Gemini, with Jupiter shining into the late evening and Saturn lingering in the western sky until midnight. And you won’t be watching it alone. The event features expert-led skywatching sessions, guided by Science Centre astronomy educators who’ll walk you through what’s happening in real time. There’ll also be planetarium shows breaking down the science behind the eclipse, plus hands-on, family-friendly activities to keep curious minds busy while waiting for the main event. On that day itself, guests can take turns peering through 15 high-powered telescopes offering 30-times magnification, with more scopes added progressively as the Moon climbs higher. To keep queues moving, live screens along the waiting areas will stream the eclipse with commentary from the Science Educators – so you won’t miss a thing, even while waiting your turn. Standard tickets for viewing

Stretch your CNY grocery budget: FairPrice offers $8 return vouchers on every $100 spend

Hosting Chinese New Year gatherings can get expensive fast – one minute you’re grabbing a simple bag of groceries, next thing you know, your reunion dinner shopping list reads like a luxury menu. But fear not: FairPrice’s second wave of Return Vouchers is here to ease the sting.  From February 5 to 16, 2026, every 100 dollars spent in a single receipt at FairPrice, FairPrice Finest, or FairPrice Xtra will entitle you to an eight-dollar Return Voucher. You can grab up to four vouchers per transaction, and they’re redeemable from the day after issuance through March 3, with no minimum spend required. This wave is part of a series of initiatives FairPrice has rolled out to keep festive essentials within reach. Earlier in January, they launched a six-dollar Return Voucher tied to the government’s CDC support package. On top of that, they’ve frozen prices on all chilled pork, popular seafood, and vegetables for the CNY period, and extended operating hours across the holidays – including keeping 156 outlets open on the first day of CNY. Vipul Chawla, Group CEO of FairPrice Group, says: “...we want to ensure customers have all the essentials they need to make every day of the Chinese New Year season better for themselves and their families.” Lastly, a little Time Out tip: it doesn’t matter how you hit that $100 – CDC Supermarket Vouchers, Linkpoints, or any other payment method can all be stacked. So yes, go ahead and add that extra tray of shabu shabu to your CNY grocery haul. READ

Global club heavyweights DJs Yung Singh and ryota land in Singapore for an exclusive back-to-back set this March

UK selector Yung Singh and Japan’s underground mainstay ryota are descending on MDLR on March 20 for a one-night masterclass in club culture. Presented by Collective Minds alongside Thugshop, this rare pairing throws two very different club worlds into the same booth. The set will also undertake a back-to-back format, which means no autopilot – every track answers the last, making it unpredictable and impossible to replicate. Yung Singh has rapidly become one of the most talked-about names in UK club culture, known for high-octane sets that effortlessly blend garage, bass, hip-hop and his signature Punjabi influences. His distinct sound recently pushed his Melbourne Boiler Room set past the million-view mark.  Joining him is ryota, a key figure in Japan’s underground scene and a driving force behind Osaka’s Fullhouse collective. Bass, garage, dubstep, breakbeat – his dynamic style has shaped Japan’s underground and earned him a cult following as well as millions of views on his Fullhouse sessions.  Tickets for the Singapore show start from $68, with pre-sale going live on February 6 at 6pm, followed by general admission on February 9 at 6pm.  READ MORE Mitski is bringing her ‘Nothing’s About to Happen to Me’ tour to Singapore this July Singaporean West End star Nathania Ong returns to lead SRT’s ‘Legally Blonde – The Musical’ One last act: Singapore theatre company Pangdemonium will bring its 16-year chapter to a close in 2026
