What’s best followed after a wallet-friendly first date at Lau Pa Sat? A free activity to further maximise your savings, of course. Okay, we jest. But in all seriousness, Popaholic 2025 sounds like the perfect date idea, regardless of whether you’re one for impressive fine-dining or chill hawker centre dinners. This music festival at Esplanade has free live outdoor performances on almost every night of this month, so get ready to jam out with local soloists and bands as they serenade you with their smooth tunes.

As its name suggests, Popaholic is a tribute to all things pop music, from current trending hits to familiar classics from past eras. Expect covers of beloved chart-toppers by Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, Adele, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and plenty more – along with originals by the homegrown artistes on stage.

The line-up features plenty of names including but not limited to Jana Ann, Zalelo, Ezekiel Tok, Marae, and singer-songwriter Dawn Yap, who will be putting out her renditions of nostalgic Mandopop ballads. It’s a different singer or group strutting their stuff every night, so pop on over and you might just discover a new favourite.

Check out the full Popaholic 2025 line-up and find out more here.
