Common Rare Singapore: the coolest brands, tickets, and everything you need to know

It’s finally happening this weekend – Shanghai-based creative collective Common Rare is taking over Suntec City Convention Hall 401 to 402 for a massive three-day lifestyle market celebrating independent design. Expect more than 200 curated brands from around the world, spanning fashion, homeware, ceramics, fragrance, art and lifestyle goods, including several overseas labels making their Singapore debut. Alongside the shopping, there’ll also be food, small interactive workshops and tattoo sessions throughout the weekend. 

With so much happening, we’ve done the heavy lifting and narrowed it down for you. Here’s your guide to the brands worth checking out, tickets and everything else you need to know before heading down.

When and where is Common Rare?

Common Rare will run from September 18 to 20, from 12.30pm to 9pm, at Suntec City Convention Hall 401 to 402. 

Founded in Shanghai by Taiwan-born friends Tiffany Wang and Vivian Sze, the collective began as a love letter to California’s thriving shop-local culture, inspired by the independent markets they discovered while studying and living in the US. Today, Common Rare is known for its creative festivals, illustration showcases and lifestyle markets that champion emerging brands, independent makers and under-the-radar creatives.

Which brands should I look out for?

The Singapore edition brings together names from across the region and beyond, so expect plenty to discover. Here are five we’ll be keeping an eye out for.

Raw Market Shop

What started with handmade rubber stamps has grown into a treasure trove of journaling tools, stickers and paper goods – all designed to make documenting everyday memories a little more fun. This Singaporean stationery studio is especially worth browsing if you’re a stamp or sticker junkie.

Dirty Manners

Think utility wear stripped back to its essentials: minimal clothing and accessories built with practicality in mind, but with enough technical detailing to keep things interesting. The Singapore label makes pieces designed to work just as well on city streets as they do outdoors.

SCHMÜCK

Keep an eye out for SCHMÜCK, a jewellery label known mostly for its silver pieces that turn memories, encounters and everyday intimacies into wearable keepsakes. Founded in 2023, the label draws from its journey across London, Düsseldorf, Bucharest and Shanghai, resulting in jewellery that feels personal, sentimental and made to be held onto.

豆宇宙 Bean Universe

Hailing from Nanjing, 豆宇宙 Bean Universe brings a whimsical, dainty touch to everyday ceramics and homeware. Think delicate forms, quaint details and playful little pieces that add a touch of charm to your everyday spaces.

Weiweiwei

Vintage textiles and secondhand clothes get a seriously whimsical second life through Wei Wei Wei’s one-off remakes. The Malaysian label handmakes each piece from pre-loved materials, drawing inspiration from remake scenes in Japan, Berlin and Thailand – so no two finds are quite alike.

What else is happening besides shopping?

There’ll be small interactive workshops and hands-on activities happening throughout the weekend, alongside tattoo sessions featuring three artists and studios with distinct styles – from American Traditional and Chinese motifs to contemporary illustration.

Thai artist Sundae Kids will also be popping up with its latest releases and exclusive merchandise, alongside live portrait drawing sessions. 

Will there be food?

Yes. PPP Coffee, Homeground Coffee Roasters, Morning and Smitten Coffee Roasters will cover coffee while Hello Arigato and Berrybar are among the names serving bites and sweet treats. So yes, you can make a full afternoon of browsing, eating and drinking without having to venture elsewhere.

Is Common Rare pet-friendly?

Yes, Common Rare is pet-friendly, so your furkid can tag along. Just make sure they stay leashed and supervised throughout the event.

Can I still get tickets?

All online tickets are sold out. However, door tickets are still available, with single tickets priced at $7 on Friday and $9 on Saturday and Sunday. If you’re coming with a friend, bundle tickets are $11 on Friday and $13 on Saturday and Sunday.

Time Out Tips

If you're heading down primarily to shop, go earlier in the day so you have more time to browse the 200-plus brands before things get busier. 

Payment-wise, PayNow and cash are accepted, while Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay and Alipay are also supported at the event – though individual vendors may have their own payment preferences.

And if you’re bringing your dog along, an earlier visit could make for a more comfortable wander around the market. It’s likely to get very busy during peak hours, which is when we’d advise simply leaving your furkid at home.
