Tripadvisor’s 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Restaurants have been released and the winner of the Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the U.S. might come as a surprise. It's not in New York, L.A. or Miami. Instead, Charleston, South Carolina's Revival came out on top in the U.S. and even ranked as number seven in the world (the only U.S. restaurant to break the top 20 on the global list).

What makes this modern Southern eatery the top fine dining destination in America? It’s all about honoring Lowcountry traditions with a fresh, inventive twist. Revival’s menu takes inspiration from South Carolina’s culinary history, with Chef de Cuisine working hand-in-hand with local farmers to bring back heritage ingredients. The menu features the once-lost Nostrale rice, Jimmy Red grits and the famously sweet Bradford watermelon. Each dish feels rooted in the past but plated for today.
