The hype got so wild that resellers started flipping the $3 totes for hundreds of dollars online, with listings reaching up to $500 on eBay and Facebook Marketplace.
Trader Joe’s wasn’t amused. The company publicly called out resellers, noting that the practice was “done without our approval or authorization.” In true TJ’s fashion, they emphasized that they don’t support reselling and do what they can to stop it.
This time around, stores are reportedly limiting purchases to four bags per customer, which means you can snag one in every Halloween color.
