From hamburg steaks and bakery-cafés to stationery shops and even music festivals, the Japanese exports just keep rolling in – not that we're complaining. And now, Singapore is getting one more: the viral Japanese donut chain I'm Donut?.
After opening its first Malaysian outlet in Kuala Lumpur earlier this year, the donut chain has teased its first store in Singapore on its global Instagram page. A Singapore I'm Donut? Instagram page is also now live, making it all the more official.
The brand has not announced an official opening date, nor do we know where the store will be located yet – but internet sleuths are free to make guesses from the teaser images online.

If you're curious about the hype, I'm Donut? is known for its soft and fluffy brioche-style 'nama' (fresh) dough. It's made with a blend of Japanese flours, with kabocha (Japanese pumpkin) mixed in for added sweetness, moisture, and that melt-in-your-mouth texture.
The Singapore menu has not been confirmed, but here's what you can expect based on what's available elsewhere: signatures like the powdered sugar I'm Donut? Original and green tea I'm Donut? Matcha; cream-filled variants like the popular Custard, a nama donut with soft custard cream filling; and ring donuts like the Zaku-Zaku, topped with a caramel-chocolate glaze and mixed nuts. Like its other international outposts, we expect local stores to carry Singapore-exclusive flavours too, so keep your eyes peeled.
I'm Donut currently has stores all over Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, and Fukuoka), as well as outposts in New York City, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur. Besides its new store in Singapore, it also plans to open in Indonesia in October 2026.
