Moutai House: A three-storey building dedicated to China's 'national liquor' is opening in Singapore this October

Baijiu fans, this one's for you. Come late October this year, you'll be able to learn all about China's most famous – and perhaps most polarising – spirit at the new Moutai House Singapore. Billed as Southeast Asia's first lifestyle destination dedicated to Kweichow Moutai, this three-storey building takes over the iconic Fullerton Waterboat House, once home to F&B tenants like Starbucks, Italian restaurant Matera, Basque Kitchen by Aitor, and most recently, European restaurant Picotin.

The destination will offer everything from immersive experiences to a fine Chinese dining restaurant, a rooftop bar, and the region's largest Moutai collection. At the heart of it is the Moutai Experiential Centre. Here's where to get your all-in-one crash course on China's 'national liquor', from its history to its production process, all spelt out in one multisensory journey. 

Look out for Southeast Asia's first birth-year Moutai collection featuring a 1965 vintage as a nod to Singapore's independence, as well as a Kweichow Moutai Discovery Collection with beautifully designed bottles, including one that pays tribute to Singapore's national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim. Over 300 labels will be on show, ranging from everyday, approachable bottles to rare collectibles soaring up to a tear-jerking $1 million. 

Hungry? Head up to Imperial Treasure Moutai House. The Chinese fine dining outlet is a collaboration between local dining group Imperial Treasure and Moutai, specialising in Huaiyang and Guizhou cuisine. Of course, Moutai will also be served. Things get really interesting on the third floor, with a new rooftop bar, Sohaus, conceptualised by the award-winning Nutmeg & Clove, which ranked No. 12 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026. Think skyline and waterfront views, eight signature cocktails spiked with Moutai, and eight classics with a Moutai twist.

Moutai House Singapore will open to the public in late October at The Fullerton Waterboat House. Opening hours for the experiential centre are from 10am to 10pm daily.
