It’s the chain with the big yellow sign you see everywhere in Japan, known for affordable grilled skewers and a huge drinks menu

Torikizoku, Japan's yakitori empire with over 600 locations, is finally coming to Singapore. If you've been to Japan, you've probably seen the big yellow sign – now you'll be able to grab those smoky skewers without leaving the country.
For those unfamiliar, Torikizoku is one of Japan’s best grub assets – until 2024, it was something you could only get in Japan. But with Singapore’s constant influx of award-winning Japanese eats, it was only a matter of time before these smoky grills and affordable skewers made their way to Singapore.
The concept is gloriously simple: in Japan, everything on the menu is priced at 390 yen, from plump grilled skewers and hearty rice sets to its huge range of boozy drinks. Singapore pricing hasn't been confirmed yet, but the chain's known for keeping costs low, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for similarly low prices here.
The local debut comes courtesy of Gohan Concepts, a joint venture between supermarket titan FairPrice Group and F&B whizzes BHAG Pte. Ltd. According to The Nikkei, the formal franchise agreement will be signed in March, officially giving them the green light to bring yakitori heaven to our city.
Already a hit in China, Taiwan, South Korea, and the United States, the chain is now accelerating its expansion in Southeast Asia, following agreements in Vietnam and the Philippines. It’s all part of Eternal Hospitality Group’s cheekily named “Global Yakitori Family” mission – to spread the joy of Japanese yakitori worldwide.
Stay tuned for more details on the opening date and Singapore pricing.
