Chagee's new Pasir Ris Mall store also offers free milk for kids under 12 and plenty of family-friendly perks

Pasir Ris has been having quite the glow-up lately. Between its new integrated transport hub, shiny new mall and town-wide rejuvenation, the east-side neighbourhood has been steadily collecting reasons for locals to spend more time there. And now, tea lovers – especially those with kids in tow – have one more to add to the list.
An extension of Chagee's family-friendly store in Suntec City, it has now officially opened another in Pasir Ris – a first in the heartlands – complete with a dedicated indoor playground where little ones can play while you sip on your Bo·Ya jasmine green milk tea. It's the brand's first community-focused outlet outside the city centre, designed as a space where families can slow down without having to make a swift exit after every order.
There's plenty here that's been designed with families in mind too. Children under 12 get complimentary milk with every order, while most of Chagee's menu carries a Nutri-Grade A or B rating, so your family tea break doesn't have to double as a sugar rush. The Singapore-exclusive pony plushie charm is also available in store at $16.90.
Over at the indoor playground, little climbers can scale a mini climbing wall before whizzing down the slide, with padded flooring for inevitable bumps and tumbles. There’s also an interactive game wall, a rocking Chagee pony mascot, books for mini bookworms and even a pretend tea-making station with aprons, toy dispensers, teapots and cups. Suspended puffy clouds add to the whimsy, making it feel like a little wonderland.
The Pasir Ris store is also making an effort to feel distinctly local. Look out for a six-metre hand-painted mural titled Memories of Pasir Ris, created by artist Rebecca Liu Xibei. It depicts the area’s history, from its mangrove swamps to nostalgic neighbourhood landmarks including the Mosaic Elephant Playground – a lovely nod to the estate’s past.
And while the indoor playground is likely to be the main event for pint-sized visitors, there’s another milestone happening behind the scenes. Chagee has partnered with Institute of Technical Education (ITE) on what it says is Singapore’s first tea beverage qualification jointly developed by an Institute of Higher Learning and an industry partner.
The programme works across two tracks. Year 1 Higher Nitec in Hospitality Operations students will take a tea beverage micro-learning course as part of their existing Barista Service module. Meanwhile, Chagee baristas will complete a specially curated course alongside hands-on training at its training centre, with those who complete the full programme receiving an ITE Certificate of Achievement.
Whether you’re here for tea, playtime or a little neighbourhood nostalgia, Chagee Pasir Ris is making a pretty strong case for becoming the family’s new local pit stop.
Chagee Pasir Ris Mall is located at 9 Pasir Ris Central, #01-01 Town Plaza, Singapore 519613. Opening Hours are from Sunday to Thursday 9 am to 9:30 pm, Friday and Saturday 9am to 10am.
