Art enthusiasts will be familiar with Art Again, a local secondary art marketplace where you can buy and sell beautiful art pieces by artists from around the world. To mark Singapore’s 60th birthday, Art Again presents Pasar, an exhibition rooted in Southeast Asian culture and everyday life.
The showcase brings together works from 10 private collections, with artists including Chen Cheng Mei, Chua Mia Tee, Ong Kim Seng and Yunizar. The artworks reflect scenes familiar to many – local produce like durians, turnips and ducks displayed for sale, nostalgic scenes at hawker stalls and wet markets, alongside depictions of Singapore’s older neighbourhoods.
If a particular piece catches your eye, good news – all artworks are available for purchase, with prices ranging from $500 to $26,000. The exhibition is held at 51 Tannery Lane, #08-01, Singapore 347798. It is open from August 8 to 15 from 11am to 6pm, and August 16 and 17 from 11am to 2pm. More details can be found here.
