This annual ranking of happiness across the planet has just been published – here are all the countries which claimed a spot in the top 50

It’s that time of year again, when a comprehensive list of the happiest countries on the planet are announced – and the crown has been awarded to the same country for not the sixth, not the seventh, but the eighth year in a row.
That country was Finland, and you can read all about why it’s yet again done so well here. The UN-sponsored World Happiness Report, which assesses GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, freedom, social support, generosity and perceptions of corruption, produces a comprehensive ranking of 147 countries – check out the top 50 below.
