It’s official: Air Transat is the latest airline to cancel flights from Canada to the U.S.

On the heels of the news that WestJet slashed more flights to the U.S., Air Transat has followed—cancelling all its flights to the U.S. including its popular Snowbird Florida routes.

Why are WestJet and Air Transat cancelling flights to the USA?

Canadian travel to the U.S. remains at record lows, despite predictions of a rebound after Trump’s tariffs in February 2025. In early 2026, airlines offer fewer U.S. seats, and car border crossings are still down over.

According to a report by Ailevon Pacific, Air Transat will halt all its U.S. flights in June, 2026.

What flights is Air Transat suspending?

The report goes on to detail the following Air Transat scheduling changes:

  • Reduced capacity to Cuba markets Havana José Martí International Airport (HOG) and Cayo Coco Airport (CCC) in March and April, 2026.

  • Suspended service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) from Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) and Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) from May and June, 2026, onward.

  • Suspended service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) starting May 4, 2026.

  • With these suspensions, Air Transat will have no flights to the U.S. after June 13, 2026, except for two flights scheduled in December to San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU).
