If you like your art fairs with a little more personality (and perhaps a round of mini golf?), the Other Art Fair is coming back to Los Angeles to save you. The Saatchi Art-presented fair takes over Santa Monica's Barker Hangar Monica September 24–27 for its 16th L.A. edition, bringing together 160 independent artists from 14 countries.

Nearly half of the exhibitors are L.A.-based, while 63 percent identify as women. The fair’s roster includes painters, photographers, mixed-media artists and printmakers, with work spanning everything from sun-drenched Palm Springs to vintage airline nostalgia and saturated figurative painting. Among the artists exhibiting are Isabel Araneda, Ella Freire, Laura Porcelli, Kiara Aileen Machado, Leticia Lorenzini and Xan Padron.
And because now is the season of Dolly Parton, this installment includes a special exhibit for Dolly Parton Day on September 25, with "Self Made Icon: A Life in Rhinestones," a collection of artist tributes, all priced under $500. The DJ will be spinning Parton songs; the bar will be slinging "The Dolly Partini" and expect a lot of pink.
This year’s fair also gets considerably more playful with The Other Open: Artist-Designed Mini Golf. Three female artists have created three playable holes, turning the fair into something between an exhibition and a very artsy putt-putt course. Suze Riley’s "WeHo Neon Diver" takes its inspiration from the famous neon diver at West Hollywood Park, while Araneda’s "Reflections of Palm Springs" turns her dreamy pool paintings into a mid-century landscape you can actually play through. Heather Bellino’s "The Blooming Vortex" uses organic shapes and a giant sculptural flower to create a colorful funnel of a course.
Then there's "TP Catalog—On Loan from The British Museum," by Adam Rose and Richard Hoffman, a site-specific installation of gold-framed toilet-paper transfers depicting artifacts that may themselves have been acquired by the British Museum. Text from the museum’s own database accompanies the images, while a video documenting the British Museum heist plays through viewing holes in the stall walls. The fair’s New Futures program will spotlight L.A. artist Lisa Tse, this year’s Fall 2026 recipient. A former graphic designer who created work for brands including Abercrombie & Fitch, Paul Frank and Roxy, Tse now makes vibrant oil and mixed-media paintings celebrating strength, connection and joy.
And, because no art event is complete without bites, four food trucks will be on hand alongside cocktails, wine, beer and nonalcoholic drinks at the Fair Bar. On Saturday and Sunday, mu.sō Espresso Bar will serve coffee and matcha from a vintage BMW E30.
The Other Art Fair runs September 24–27 at Barker Hangar, 3021 Airport Ave., Santa Monica. Thursday’s opening night runs 6pm–10pm, Friday is open 5pm–10pm, Saturday 11am–7pm and Sunday 11am–6pm. Tickets are available here.
