London Tube and Train Disruption This Weekend: Full List of Closures for September 19-20 2026

The District, District, Weaver, Lioness and Windrush lines will be hit by closures, as will the DLR. Here’s how to get around the city

Another weekend, another load of planned travel disruption on London’s tubes and trains. September 19-20 will see more service cancellations and amendments than usual, with notable disruption on the District and Piccadilly lines.

London travel disruption and tube closures, September 19-20 2026

District line

  • On Saturday September 19 and Sunday September 20, no trains between Earl’s Court and Ealing Broadway/Richmond.
    • Use Mildmay line services instead.
  • Westbound trains will not call at Barons Court until late 2026. If travelling west from the station, go one stop east to West Kensington and then change trains for westbound services.

Piccadilly line

  • On Sat Sep 19 (from 1.30am) and all day Sun Sep 20 (including Night Tube), no trains between Hyde Park Corner and Acton Town.
  • Westbound trains won’t call at Barons Court until the end of the year. If travelling west from the station, go one stop east to Earl’s Court and change trains for westbound services.

DLR

  • On Sat Sep 19 and Sun Sep 20 no trains between Bank/Tower Gateway and Lewisham/Canning Town. Also no service between Stratford and Canary Wharf.

Weaver line

  • On Sat Sep 19 and Sun Sep 20, no trains between Hackney Downs and Cheshunt/Enfield Town.

Lioness line

  • On Sun Sep 20, no trains between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction until 4.15pm.

Windrush line

  • On Sat Sep 19, no trains between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction after 11.30pm.
