How to get to Coldplay at Wembley Stadium: complete London public transport guide

It feels like Coldplay have been on tour for an eternity. The Music of the Spheres world tour has been travelling all over the planet since 2022, but finally, more than three years later, it’s due to come to a magnificent close at London’s Wembley Stadium. 

The band’s upcoming 10-day residency (starting August 22) will claim the record for the most appearances at Wembley in a single tour. And we don’t want to get your hopes up, but last time the band played the stadium in 2022, they brought out special guests Jacob Collier, Natalie Imbruglia, Simon Pegg and Stormzy. We’d bet good money that there will be more VIP appearances lined up for the grand finale. 

This really is your final opportunity to witness Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres in person, so you won’t want to miss a thing. To help make sure you don’t arrive late, here are all your options for getting to Wembley Stadium when Coldplay are back in town. Remember the number one rule: leave with plenty of time to spare.

How to get to Wembley

Nearest tube and train stations

There are three train and tube stations near Wembley Stadium. Wembley Park Station is served by the London Underground Jubilee and Metropolitan lines, you can get to Wembley Stadium Station via Chiltern Railways and Wembley Central Station is on the London Underground Bakerloo line, London Overground Lioness line, London Midland and Southern lines. 

Keep in mind that on Sunday, August 31 there’ll be no Lioness line services between Euston and Kilburn High Road before 12pm and after 8.30pm.  

Bus 

There are a number of local buses serving Wembley Stadium. You can choose from the 18/N18, 83/N83, 92, 182, 206, 223, 297 or 483.

Coach 

National Express is offering a Wembley Express coach from 50 locations across the UK to help get people to the Coldplay gigs. Return fares start from £37 and coaches arrive to the venue at 3pm, giving you plenty of time to lounge around before doors open. They’ll leave the stadium at 11.15pm. You can book your place here.

Big Green Coach is running a similar service to the stadium with return coaches from Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Chelmsford, Colchester, Coventry, Exeter, Ipswich, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Norwich, Nottingham, Plymouth, Reading, Southampton, Swindon and Taunton. Car 

If you’d prefer to drive to and from the gig, there are parking spaces at Wembley Park (postcode HA9 0HX). Spaces start from £40 or £25 for Blue Badge holders and they’re no more than a 10-minute walk to the stadium. To guarantee a parking spot, you can book it in advance here.
