Get your head in the game, the Basement Jaxx are coming to town Joburg!

Get ready to lose your head, South Africa. Legendary UK electronic duo Basement Jaxx will be headlining the upcoming KissKiss festival this April.
Known for era-defining anthems like "Where's Your Head At" and "Red Alert," Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe are set to bring their signature genre-bending energy to our shores. It’s a massive win for the local festival circuit, especially for those of us who grew up with their eclectic mix of house, punk, and grime.
While the festival maintains its beloved format from last year, focusing on a music-and-food eruption, there is a cryptic new twist for 2026. This year’s theme is aptly titled "Where’s Your Head At".
Organisers have kept much of the magic under wraps but promise a "richly curated lineup that bridges the gap between generations. "Young and old, a perfect mix of both," a festival spokesperson told us. "We focus on rich experiences above all else."

The festival hits the Mother City on Saturday, 11 April, before taking over Johannesburg on Sunday, 12 April.
Exact venues are still being kept secret for now, but if previous years are anything to go by, expect iconic outdoor settings that allow for a full day-to-night transformation.
The "birds" are ready to fly! The pricing structure is tiered, so you’ll want to move fast to secure the best deal. Early bird tickets are available from today on Webtickets.
Time Out Tip: Keep a sharp eye on the KissKiss social media channels. The full "Where's Your Head At" theme will be revealed over the coming month, alongside more artist announcements.
