One of the things that makes Mzansi a cool place to live in is its diverse cultures.
This Heritage Month, several restaurants have revamped their menus to offer traditional meals, but there are restaurants that celebrate tradition all year round. We’ve rounded up a few of our favourites for you to try.
Jollof Café
For a taste of West African cuisine, head to Jollof Café. Fried yams, jollof noodles, fried sweet potatoes, vegetable soup, chicken wraps and seafood rice are some of the restaurant's signature dishes.
The Jollof Delight, which comprises jollof rice, Plantain, and fried turkey, takes you on a culinary journey to Nigeria. It is a must-try.
The restaurant gives a real African vibe. From serving you water in a bowl to wash your hands, like it is done in African homes, to the harmonious blend of flavours, the restaurant ticks all the boxes for a true African experience.
