If, like us, the idea of tackling the insane queue barricades to get into the LKF clubbing district on Halloween night is more trick than treat, we’ve got the perfect party alternative for you. Hong Kong’s famously chaotic Got Balls party is back this October, promising its “biggest, baddest, and bloodiest” fancy dress spectacle to date.
After a five-month hiatus, the beautifully shambolic bingo night returns to bring more high-octane gameplay, live performances, lots of unhinged crowd participation, and the best party atmosphere. Expect to compete in three rounds of games sprinkled with a generous dose of surprises, tie-break play-offs on the stage, and plenty of giveaways.
Of course, the night will be well lubricated with an open bar serving three hours of free-flow prosecco, spirits, mixers, beer, and Only beverages. There will also be live entertainment in the form of live singers, dancers, musicians, DJ sets, lots of bangers and anthems, and the mandatory dancing on chairs that always accompanies a Got Balls event.
Seeing as it’s Halloween, dressing up in costume is a must for entry. Keep with the ‘Netfl!x & Kill’ theme and arrive channeling silver-screen legends, killer villains, or horror versions of your favourite TV characters. The organisers have promised a massive prize for the Best Dressed award, so lock in! We’re going to up the ante by doing shots every time we see a pink-suited Squid Game guard costume, and you’re more than welcome to join us.
Got Balls will be held on Saturday, October 31, at the Hong Kong Football Club. The doors will open at 7.30pm and the whole party will wrap up at 11pm, sending you out into the city nicely sloshed, rumpled, and buzzing with adrenaline. Pre-sale tickets will be released on September 9 and these are limited to 100 slots at $600. First release tickets will then come out on September 10 at $680, followed by final releases at $750, so get booking early.
