Carbs and workouts sound like they shouldn’t even appear in the same sentence, but Pirata Group disagrees. The F&B group’s yearly carb-fuelled tradition, the Pici Pasta Run, returns for the sixth time in October for its largest edition yet.
Following the opening of the neighbourhood pasta joint’s 10th location in Yuen Long, this quirky costumed run remains a highlight among Hong Kong’s fitness enthusiasts and foodies, bringing together an unbeatable combination of fun, community, and fresh pasta. For the first time ever, this year’s event opens its Full Run 10-km category to families, so participants of all ages can tackle a longer-distance slog together.
The Full Run starts at the Kennedy Town Pici location, while the 5-km Half Run starts in Causeway Bay at the Harbour Fun Restaurant & Bar for a shorter, more accessible option. Both routes will conclude at Pici Taikoo Place in Quarry Bay, where fresh, handmade pasta, drinks, and desserts await for a perfect post-workout indulgence.
Don’t forget that runners have always dressed up in funky costumes – think the Rugby Sevens, but with running – so show up in your snazzy or crazy group outfits for a chance to win trophies and prizes for the Best Dressed Costumes!
Registration for the Pici Pasta Run costs a donation of $250 per person, while kids under 12 can run for free when accompanied by a paying parent – all of these proceeds will go directly to Mind HK to fund mental health initiatives in the city.
