Think we have enough ice cream parlours lining our streets already? Think again! Emack & Bolio’s, the Boston-based ice cream chain known for their towering scoops covered with toppings, is making a comeback in Hong Kong.

Not much else is known about their new store, apart from the fact that it will be situated on Hollywood Road, and they’re currently hiring their local team. But ice cream lovers will remember their funky flavours such as Bananas Foster, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, Deep Purple Chip (black raspberry with chocolate chips), Pumpkin, and our personal favourite Space Cake (cake batter flavour with red velvet bits and shortbread cookies).

It’s not an Emack & Bolio’s treat without the loaded cones, so we can also look forward to their crispy cones and cups sprinkles, Fruit Loops, Rice Krispies, and more. The whole indulgence is a truly American snack that should be experienced. For those who don’t fancy a sugar high and subsequent crash, the brand also carries vegan options, sorbets, and frozen yoghurts.

Emack & Bolio’s first entered the Hong Kong market in 2015, though their shop on the slopes of Cochrane Street alongside the Central–Mid-Levels Escalator eventually shut during the pandemic in 2021. Their brand-new store will open around early September on 47 Hollywood Road, Central.
