Who's excited about Wicked: For Good? Stan's Donuts is and, in honor of the new movie, the beloved breakfast spot has created a new limited-edition donut that will only be available on the day of the film's release, November 21.
Aptly dubbed A Wicked Donut, it's exactly the kind of over-the-top treat you'd expect from one of the best donut shops in Chicago.
Stan’s is known for its inventive flavors (Cap'n Crunch, lemon pistachio, caramel marshmallow, Biscoff), especially over the holidays. This year, the shop has already rolled out some pretty awesome options, including the holiday sprinkle, the peppermint bark and a gingerbread Stan—and we have no doubt the latest treat will be just as culinarily exciting.
A Wicked Donut is an yeast donut split down the middle, each half a nod to Wicked's leading duo. One portion of the treat is coated in Stan's iconic strawberry glaze and finished with a dusting of sparkly sugar that glimmers like Glinda’s magic wand. The other half is dipped in pistachio glaze as green as Ephalba, then covered in chocolate sprinkles. It’s a sweet and nutty delicacy that's both good and... a little mischievous.
One more thing: the donut will only be available in person, so don't count on ordering a dozen online, until supplies last. And if there's one thing we're sure of is that supplies likely won't last—so mark your calendars already!
