The lineup is packed with new releases for every taste. Two local productions lead the list: a comedy starring Celeste Cid, Benjamín Vicuña, and Lucas Akoskin about shared parenthood, and a drama directed by and starring Dolores Fonzi. From Hollywood, Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie star in a fantastical romance, while South Korea delivers a dose of disturbing horror. Also premiering is the latest Cannes Jury Prize winner, set in Mumbai, and a musical documentary taking Dua Lipa to London’s Royal Albert Hall.

1. The Great Journey of Your Life

Starring Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie, the film asks: what would happen if you could open a door and return to a pivotal moment in your past? Sarah and David are two strangers who meet at a mutual friend’s wedding. What begins as a casual encounter turns, through an unexpected twist of fate, into a fantastic, fun, and passionate adventure. Together, they revisit moments from their past, discover how they arrived at their present, and perhaps find the chance to change their future.

Fun fact: The film is directed by Kogonada, who worked on several episodes of the acclaimed series Pachinko.

2. Dad x Two

A hilarious family comedy in which Santiago (Benjamín Vicuña) dreams of starting a family with Ana (Celeste Cid), and everything seems perfect… until she reveals she’s pregnant and the father is none other than her ex. Determined to fight for his love, Santiago agrees to take charge of this unusual family. But things get even more complicated when Pancho, Ana’s ex, moves in to be part of the pregnancy. What follows is a funny battle of antics, jealousy, and competition between the two men—where everything is allowed… or almost everything.

Fun fact: The film is directed by Hernán Guerschuny, who previously directed Nahir, Doble Discurso, and El Crítico, among others.

3. Sounds from Beyond

One of the most unsettling Korean horror films in recent years follows Joo Young, a young woman with hearing loss living with her sister in a new apartment building. When Joo Hee mysteriously disappears, Joo Young discovers that the hallways and shadows hide a much darker terror than she imagined, plunging her into a sensory nightmare that reveals horrifying truths hidden within the walls.

Fun fact: On its opening, the film dominated the box office and sparked a “reverse run” phenomenon: its audience doubled in the second weekend, surpassing 500,000 viewers; by day 11 it reached 1,006,430, and by day 27 it had 1.5 million viewers.

4. The Light We Imagine

In Mumbai, nurse Prabha’s life changes with an unexpected gift, while her roommate, Anu, searches the city for a place to be with her boyfriend. A trip to a coastal town leads them to discover personal desires, friendship, and community away from home, in an intimate and luminous story about the bonds between women, told with a delicate and tender perspective.

Fun fact: The film won the Grand Jury Prize at the latest Cannes Film Festival and received three Golden Globe nominations.

5. Belén

Directed by and starring Dolores Fonzi, and based on a true story, the film tells the story of Julieta, a young woman from Tucumán accused of infanticide following a miscarriage, and Soledad Deza, the courageous lawyer who risks everything to defend her. The case, which set a precedent in the fight against a conservative legal system, sparked outrage and a wave of solidarity that transcended borders.

Fun fact: The film was selected to participate in the San Sebastián International Film Festival.

6. An Evening with Dua Lipa

Almost two years after her last shows in Argentina, and just before returning for the third time, Dua Lipa fans will have the chance to see her on the big screen.
