Ever walked into a room and had a particular light, sound or smell suddenly remind you of somewhere else? Piyada Na Badalung’s A Place within a Place at L.O.F. Gallery explores those ‘overlapping spaces’, where physical surroundings meet personal memories, perceptions and feelings. A café, street corner or old building can mean something completely different depending on who’s there and what they remember. The works consider how one place can hold several versions of itself, shaped by the people who pass through it.
