Follow Somsak’s story to Ekkamai

Somsak is built around a fictional London cab driver who wins the lottery and comes home to open his dream Isaan restaurant. The team behind Fatboy Izakaya and Kim Jeong Grill tells the story in hot pink, yellow and neon, with village-pop touches throughout. On the table, look for grilled lamb ribs marinated in makwaen, herbs and spices, and smoked-beef koi with pickles, cha plu leaves, chilli peanuts and jaew. The food gives rustic Isaan flavours a playful, city-ready turn.
