Let's be honest, you've seen the pictures. That grand, European-style castle complex in Khao Yai – the one that looks straight out of a fairytale, complete with a golf course and rolling hills – is a landmark. You probably knew it as My Ozone.

Well, it’s just entered its next chapter as Stella Ozone Khao Yai.

Now under Mövenpick management, the property is getting a serious glow-up. Forget just 'classic resort' – think of it as a full-blown lifestyle destination. They're aiming to bring a slice of a sophisticated urban vibe to the mountains, blending serenity with a new sense of energy.

Here's your guide to what's new at Khao Yai's most magical estate.

So, what’s actually different?

You might expect a total overhaul with a new name, but the soul of the place remains. The sprawling complex still features two hotels, Estella Khao Yai and Mövenpick Khao Yai Resort, plus the Flavours of Khao Yai and Sapori Cucina restaurants, Starry Golf Club and that massive pool.

What's new is the vibe. The transformation is all about connecting the dots, turning the collection of separate areas into one seamless experience. Whether you're on a family trip or a corporate retreat, it now feels like a main attraction, not just a posh pitstop.

The new vision is built around becoming a  'wellness and lifestyle hub.' Lofty? Maybe. But what it really means is they're curating experiences designed to... well, make you happy.

‘Happiness today is about curation, not indulgence. It’s about creating areas where people feel more alive,’ says Nuttpasint ‘Chill’ Chet-udomlap, Executive Director of Stella X. 'The compound is still very much a work in progress, we're continuing to develop and refine the experience as we build toward our vision of an all-season mountain wellness and leisure destination.'

Your new Khao Yai to-do list

Here’s a look at what you can actually do there. One of the cutest highlights is Zooniverse, the revamped animal area. We're talking a proper stroll through pens of horses, sheep, goats, chickens and rabbits. Yes, you can feed them (snacks are available) and even go horse riding. Foodies can also take note, as The Parlour Khao Yai is opening soon. We're picturing leisurely brunches, relaxed coffees and casual dinners set against those misty hills.

To work off the brunch, you can explore the grounds beyond the 18-hole golf course, which are perfect for morning walks. The most unique offering, however, is Nordic Walking – that health-focused technique using poles that works your whole body, engages your core and is even said to help reduce cognitive decline. Yoga classes are also on the menu. But it’s not all play; Estella Khao Yai has also upgraded its MICE credentials with two modern meeting and banquet rooms, each hosting over 100 attendees.
