Thailand's first immersive aquarium opens at Seacon Square in January 2027

Bangkok is about to get an aquarium unlike any other in the country. From late January 2027, Seacon Square Srinakarin becomes home to Thailand's first immersive aquarium, and it promises a fair bit more than the usual shuffle past a wall of glass.

You'll find it inside MyScape on the mall's North Wing, a 1,400sqm space built with Index Creative Village under the concept 'Where Nature Becomes Art'. Nine zones bring together real fish, art, shifting light, colour and sound, plus a fair whack of immersive technology.

Each room changes the mood as you move through water, colour and the slow drift of the fish towards spaces that read more like art installations than tanks. Living creatures and digital work sit side by side, and the team is keen to stress the quieter stuff too, from exhibition standards to how well the animals are actually looked after.

It suits families, teenagers after somewhere to kill an afternoon, curious tourists and anyone chasing a fresh way to spend a Saturday. And this is only the start, with more creative spaces promised down the line.
