Anyone who follows Thailand's indie scene knows the pain of a good clash. Three bands you love, three different venues and one night, with no way to be in all three at once.
Fungjai, the homegrown platform that has backed the local scene for more than a decade, fixes that. Last year the tenth-anniversary show 'Fungjai Jud 2025' reunited musicians from different generations of the scene. This year it returns with a fresh event, 'Fungjai Mun', and the idea stays the same. It rounds up a wildly mixed roster, puts everyone under one roof for a single evening and spares you the agonising choice of who to watch.
The bill runs deep this time, with eight acts and one DJ. Expect BLVCKHEART, Mirrr, WAV, DOTDOTDOT, Television Off, The Richman Toy, Jazz Spooknick Papillon Kook Kook and NAP THE NAP, covering indie, pop and rock, with no two acts sounding alike. Holding it together is DJ Bookythestrider from the 'Nuea Mek' crew, who keeps the music running through every changeover so nobody stands around waiting between sets.
It suits anyone who hates picking favourites. You turn up once, find a spot in the crowd and let the whole lineup come to you, drink in hand, with no dashing across the city halfway through the evening.
