The 2025 Michelin Key awards have just wrapped up, marking the second year of the honour. This year, the Michelin Guide recognised 2,457 hotels around the world for offering exceptional stays and outstanding hospitality.

Thailand shone bright on the list, with 62 hotels earning a coveted Key, highlighting the country’s rich diversity and exceptional standards in hospitality. The results include six hotels awarded Three Michelin Keys, 21 receiving Two Keys and 35 earning One Key. The rankings also include eight new Thai hotels that received the distinction for the first time.

Here’s a quick guide to what the Michelin Keys mean:

One Key: A standout stay with character and warm, attentive service – a notch above others in its class.
Two Keys: An exceptional stay where charm, care and personality come together to create something truly memorable.
Three Keys: The creme de la creme – world-class design, comfort and service that make the hotel a destination in its own right.
