Time Out says

Capitol Hill’s back-to-school ritual gets a welcome upgrade on two wheels. Hill Family Biking’s four-mile progressive ride passes seven neighborhood schools, including Ludlow-Taylor, J.O. Wilson, Maury and Stuart-Hobson, with families able to join at different points along the route. The ride runs from 4 to 5pm, but the bigger draw comes afterward: a block party at School Within School with a foam party and DJ, giant chalk art, face painting, a balance bike course, cookies from Bread Par Avion and a food truck. Parents can also get bike maintenance help before the ride starts. With marshals keeping the group together and the MPD bike team joining in, this is an easy way to make the transition back to school feel less like a chore and more like a neighborhood outing. Bring the kids, bring the bikes and stay for the party.
