Fiesta DC has been part of the region’s Latino cultural calendar since the 1970s, and the 2026 festival has a particularly good reason to make the trip: Brazil is this year’s Country of Honor. Over two days, Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd and 7th streets becomes a sprawling mix of Latin American food, live music, dance performances and artisan vendors. The Brazilian focus gives this edition an added point of interest, especially with the country’s music and cultural traditions getting a dedicated spotlight. It is also worth treating the festival as more than a quick food stop. The programming stretches across the day, so there is time to wander, eat your way through different cuisines and settle in for performances. The festival runs September 26 and 27 from 11am to 7pm, with the Parade of the Nations taking over the area on Sunday.
