Whether you’re looking to be scared senseless, show off your costume, dance until the witching hour or entertain a crew of little monsters, Metro Vancouver has plenty of tricks (and treats) up its sleeve this Halloween weekend.

First: fuel up at Time Out Market Vancouver with a pre-Halloween feast for the whole family, with 20 kitchens serving everything from Vietnamese favourites and sushi to burgers, pizza and sweet treats. And there’s plenty happening beyond the food: this weekend’s regular programming includes free beverage tastings on Friday, live music and Saturday night DJ sets. You can also check out an impressive display of costumes from Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA, on show throughout October and November.

Ready for more Halloween fun? Here are 10 of the best events happening around Vancouver from October 30 to November 1, 2026.

  1. Fright Nights at the PNE

Get ready for a proper scare: Vancouver’s iconic scream park is back with haunted houses, thrilling rides and enough lurking monsters to make you question every dark corner. Fright Nights is a Halloween institution for good reason, combining amusement park thrills with spine-tingling encounters that are definitely not for the faint of heart. Leave the little ones at home for this one.

When: Select evenings until October 31
Where: PNE, Vancouver

  1. Parade of Lost Souls

East Van’s wonderfully weird Halloween tradition returns on October 31, transforming the neighbourhood into a surreal playground of costumed performers, music and art. This year’s theme, Trickster’s Treat, promises plenty of creative surprises, while the family-friendly Parade of Little Souls means younger revellers can get in on the fun. The event is free, although donations are encouraged.

When: October 31, 7 to 10 pm
Where: East Vancouver, near Vernon Drive and Napier Street

  1. Canyon Frights at Capilano Suspension Bridge

If your idea of Halloween involves more enchantment than outright terror, head to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. The rainforest has been transformed into a spooky wonderland of glowing mushrooms, oversized spiders, pumpkins, mysterious graveyards and eerie surprises. Cross the famous suspension bridge, explore the illuminated forest trails and soak up the atmosphere. Bonus: it’s included with regular admission.

When: Until November 1
Where: Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, North Vancouver

  1. Haunted Village at Burnaby Village Museum

Step back in time, but watch your back. Burnaby Village Museum’s historic streets have received a spooky makeover, complete with a haunted graveyard, ghostly circus, costumed performers and supernatural surprises. There are shadow puppet performances, a dance party with DJ Drac and, on Halloween night, trick-or-treating for the kids. It’s an atmospheric outing for families who like their scares on the gentler side.

When: October 30 and 31, 4 to 9 pm
Where: Burnaby Village Museum

  1. Science World After Dark: Sinister Science

Who knew science could be so spooky? On October 30, Science World transforms into an adults-only Halloween playground where things get deliciously weird. Expect dangerous-looking performances, forensic mysteries and fascinatingly creepy discoveries, including a look at how insects can help solve crimes. The 19+ evening encourages costumes, making it an excellent alternative to the usual Halloween bar crawl.

When: October 30, 6 to 10 pm
Where: Science World, Vancouver

  1. Central Spark in Burnaby

Free Halloween festivities with fireworks? Yes, please. Burnaby’s Central Spark celebration brings a family-friendly party to Central Park, complete with live entertainment, food trucks, a DJ dance party and a dazzling drone light show. The grand finale is a fireworks spectacular, so grab your costume, round up the family and prepare for a seriously illuminating evening.

When: October 30, 6 to 8 pm
Where: Central Park, Burnaby

  1. Halloweenie at Granville Island

For little monsters who aren’t quite ready for haunted houses, Granville Island’s Kids Market has the perfect Halloween outing. Halloweenie brings trick-or-treating, face painting, festive photo opportunities and live entertainment to one of the city’s favourite family destinations, all for free. Bring the costumes, bring a candy bag and enjoy a Halloween celebration that’s heavy on treats and light on scares.

When: October 31, trick-or-treating from 11 am to 1 pm
Where: Kids Market, Granville Island

  1. Richmond Halloween Fireworks Festival

Richmond is going intergalactic this Halloween with the 40th edition of its annual fireworks festival. This year’s Alien Invasion theme brings cosmic creatures, acrobats, fire performers, stilt walkers, games and a costume contest to Minoru Park. There are thousands of candies up for grabs, plus food trucks and Richmond’s biggest fireworks display to finish the evening. Best of all? Admission is completely free.

When: October 31, 6:30 to 9:15 pm
Where: Minoru Park, Richmond

  1. Coola’s Pumpkin Smash at Grouse Mountain

Here’s a Halloween event you don’t see every day: a grizzly bear smashing pumpkins. Grouse Mountain’s resident bear, Coola, is celebrating with a special pumpkin feast, and visitors are invited to watch him investigate, munch and demolish his treats. There’s also a pumpkin scavenger hunt, Halloween games, candy and photo opportunities. It’s a wildly entertaining way to spend Halloween afternoon with the family.

When: October 31, 12 to 3 pm; pumpkin smash at 1 pm
Where: Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver

  1. Dooms Night at the Pacific Coliseum

If your ideal Halloween involves more dancing than screaming, Dooms Night has you covered. Vancouver’s massive annual Halloween electronic music event returns to the Pacific Coliseum for its 26th edition, promising a night of thundering beats, elaborate costumes and seriously high-energy party vibes. This one’s for the crowd who’d rather dance with the undead until late than knock on doors for candy.

When: October 31
Where: Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver

With haunted forests, costume parties, free fireworks and enough candy to keep local dentists busy for weeks, Halloween 2026 is shaping up to be a big one in Vancouver.

Just don’t forget your costume.
