Frequently asked questions about booking a Jackson Hole Airbnb

When is the best time to visit Jackson Hole?

Jackson Hole and its surrounding areas are fantastic to visit year-round, but the shoulder seasons are always the best time to get the most bang for your buck. April and May are great for avoiding summer crowds while still enjoying the warmer seasons, while winter (Dec-March) shines for skiing and sleighriding, or for those who just want to seek a snowy escape. Summer is peak hiking and water rafting season, but it’s also the most expensive time to visit. Expect crowds and wait times at the best restaurants, and book around November or December to find the lowest prices.

Is it easy to drive around Jackson Hole?

Summertime drives are easy-peasy, minus the summertime traffic. However, expect a bumpier (or slippier) drive come winter. Most of the Airbnbs listed highly recommend renting a four-wheel or all-wheel drive for snowfall, and some are in higher elevated areas, which can be tricky for those who aren’t used to winter weather.
