Every single Michelin-starred restaurant in Las Vegas

The awards finally made their way west again, and now here are all of the Michelin-starred restaurants Vegas has to offer.

The Michelin Guide returned to Las Vegas for the first time in 17 years this week with a bit of a whimper, recognizing just a few restaurants in the inaugural American Southwest guide, which includes Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah. 

For the entire Southwest, Michelin awarded stars to just five restaurants—four in Las Vegas—and one in Utah, anointing Monte in Salt Lake City with a single star. In Las Vegas, Restaurant de Joël Robuchon received the only two-star recognition, while one-star restaurants honored were L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Restaurant Guy Savoy and é by José Andrés. Three other Las Vegas restaurants received Michelin’s Bib Gourmand recommendations: China Poblano, Esther’s Kitchen and Yen Viet Kitchen.

Michelin’s return to Las Vegas was highly anticipated. With just an eight-month time frame from announcement to awards ceremony, chefs and restaurants raced to prepare for inspectors. The scramble and inability to meet Michelin’s high standards may have left some of the city’s best restaurants off the list. A true representation could come next year as inspectors become more familiar with Las Vegas’s culinary landscape and chefs seeking stars tighten concepts. A total of 17 other restaurants made the guide with a Michelin recommendation. Here are the top restaurants in Las Vegas, according to the Michelin Guide.

Two Michelin Stars

What is it? A world-class two-Michelin-star experience that will leave a lasting impression. 

Why we love it: A meal at Joël Robuchon’s is an unforgettable experience. Housed inside the MGM Grand, the regal Art Deco room with its marble floors and purple velvet drapes and decor provides a palatial backdrop to a well-paced tasting menu. But buckle in. The 16-course parade of transcendent French cuisine takes more than three hours to complete. Expect crabmeat and caviar, black truffles and foie gras, and dashi and venison. Each dish is so stunningly artistic it belongs in the Louvre.

One Michelin Star

What is it? Theater meets fine dining at this Michelin-starred Robuchon restaurant.    

Why we love it: With a distinct red-and-black design, L’Atelier is a special place where modern French gastronomy plays out right in front of you. The restaurant's standout feature is its open-kitchen concept, giving counter-service guests an interactive dining experience. Watch as chefs prepare, then use tweezers to finish dishes that transform familiar ingredients into refined compositions where seared scallops are topped with a coconut-citrus foam and gelée de caviar is served with a cauliflower purée and caviar. 

Time Out tip: While there is the option to dine à la carte, the tasting menu provides the ultimate tour of what L’Atelier is all about.

One Michelin Star

What is it? A small private counter tucked into a busier José Andrés restaurant offers a big Michelin surprise.   

Why we love it: Blink and you miss it. Hidden inside the chef’s Jaleo paella palace at the Cosmopolitan, é by José Andrés is a small nine-seat nook in a bright red room. Chefs serve a multi-course tasting menu full of the flavors of Spain. The whimsical menu could include Santa Barbara prawn paired with briny olive spheres and a mandarin snow, caviar-topped mini tacos or empanadas filled with foie gras.

Time Out tip: With just two nightly seatings, reservations are a must. Plan your evening out and reserve a seat months before your desired date.

One Michelin Star

What is it? A fine dining French tasting menu from a multiple Michelin-starred chef.

Why we love it: When Guy Savoy opened his namesake restaurant at Caesars Palace, he joked about being “imported” to America and laughed that his Las Vegas restaurant had one thing none of his famed Parisian ones did: a view of the Eiffel Tower. Sure, it’s a twinkling replica, but it’s a nice backdrop when you’re staring at A5 Japanese Wagyu beef and lobster on your plate. The restaurant offers both tasting menus ($450 per person, $650 with wine pairing) and à la carte options with Savoy’s legendary Colors of Caviar ($120) and artichoke and black truffle soup ($100) available separately. And with 12,000 bottles of wine, you won’t leave thirsty.

Time Out tip: The restaurant has its own valet entrance, so you won’t have to slog through the casino to get there.

Bib Gourmand Restaurants in Las Vegas

What is it? An innovative, casual restaurant that mixes Mexican and Chinese cuisines. 

Why we love it: This fusion concept from José Andrés at the Cosmopolitan offers a diverse menu of flavors. Diners will find everything from coconut ceviche, mango sticky rice and dim sum favorites, like spicy shrimp wontons or scallop and pork siu mai, to quesabirria tacos and Dan Dan noodles —all done the Andrés way.

What is it? A quaint Italian neighborhood restaurant in the Arts District in downtown Las Vegas

Why we love it: Chef James Trees named this cozy downtown restaurant after his great aunt—the one he credits with helping him curate a menu of Italian comfort food favs. It’s rich with housemade pastas like rigatoni with black kale pesto, sourdough pizzas with some edge (peach and prosciutto or the carbonara are attention grabbers) and seasonal dishes worth making the trip downtown every few months. 

Time Out tip: Sip a craft cocktail upstairs in the Treehaus, a homey bar with a laid-back vibe.

YEN Viet Kitchen

What is it? Transportive Vietnamese cuisine in a cozy and comforting space.  

Why we love it: Far from flashy, the mother-daughter team at YEN Viet Kitchen serves authentic Vietnamese dishes overflowing with fragrant fresh herbs. Crispy turmeric mini pancakes are stuffed with shrimp and pork and steamed rice rolls are made with wood-ear mushrooms and minced pork. They also offer plenty of noodle dishes and soups to pair with Vietnamese iced coffee for the ideal hot-and-cold balance.
