We all have our favorite Girl Scout Cookie (shoutout to Thin Mints kept in the freezer!) but that doesn't mean we're not willing to try new things. And the 2026 season brings with it a brand-new treat designed to whet our appetites before it ever hits our doorsteps.

Meet the Rocky Road–inspired sandwich cookie Exploremores, the latest addition to the iconic Girl Scout Cookie lineup. Think chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond–flavored crème layered together to channel the joy of digging into a bowl of ice cream, but without the risk of brain freeze.

The launch of Exploremores marks the national kickoff of the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie season, which runs from January through April, with timing varying by region. While longtime favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas (aka Caramel deLites), Tagalongs, Adventurefuls and more are all returning, Exploremores is the headliner: a new flavor meant to reflect the spirit of curiosity and discovery at the heart of the Girl Scout mission.

That mission goes far beyond satisfying a sweet tooth. The Girl Scout Cookie Program remains the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world, giving millions of girls hands-on experience in running a business. Through cookie sales, Girl Scouts learn goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics, all skills that can prepare them for careers and leadership roles. Every box sold helps fund experiences like summer camp, troop travel, service projects and outdoor adventures.

This year’s cookie season also spotlights creativity and digital skills. Adobe, the national sponsor of the 2026 program, is partnering with Girl Scouts to encourage girls to express their individuality and think creatively as entrepreneurs. Girl Scouts will gain tools and guidance around online communication and responsible digital design, something that feels especially timely when selling cookies now often involves social media, digital storefronts and virtual outreach.

For us, buying cookies remains refreshingly straightforward. If you know a Girl Scout, you can reach out directly. If not, the Girl Scout Cookie Finder lets you search by ZIP code or order cookies directly from troops nationwide. You can even donate cookies to local community causes, turning your purchase into a small act of kindness.
