Your usual Shake Shack order is about to get a little more extravagant: The chain’s Black Truffle menu returns today, September 29, bringing truffle sauce, cheese-stuffed mushrooms and parmesan-dusted fries back for a limited time.

Shake Shack calls its Black Truffle range one of its best-performing limited-time menus ever. If you missed it before, the main attraction is a black truffle sauce made with truffle oil from Umbria, Italy; the savory dressing turns up across four returning items, from a saucy beef burger to fries built for dipping. This time, you can also order the sauce as an add-on for sides, including the new Mac & Cheese Bites.

The Black Truffle Burger keeps things relatively simple: a quarter-pound Angus beef patty, fontina cheese, crispy sweet onions and a swipe of sauce on a toasted potato bun. The meat-free option is the Black Truffle ‘Shroom, which pairs a crisp-fried portobello stuffed with melted Muenster and cheddar with shredded lettuce and truffle sauce.

If you can’t choose between the burger and the mushroom? The Black Truffle Shack Stack puts the beef patty, fontina and cheese-filled portobello together on one bun.

For a smaller commitment, there are Black Truffle Parmesan Fries: Shake Shack’s crinkle cuts dusted with Parmesan and served with sauce on the side. That setup lets you control just how much your fries taste like truffle. The new Mac & Cheese Bites are filled with ditalini pasta and creamy cheddar and American cheese sauce; add truffle sauce if that's your kind of fall snack. The sauce is also available with Chicken Bites and Onion Rings.

The menu is available at participating Shake Shacks nationwide, through the usual ordering options: in-store, on the Shake Shack app and via delivery platforms.

Shake Shack hasn’t announced an end date or prices for the returning menu. “Limited time” could mean you have a while—or it could mean that the fries you keep thinking about disappear before you get around to trying them. If truffle sauce on a cheese-stuffed mushroom sounds appealing, today is a perfectly good day to find out.
