We’ll soon return to Prythian, folks! Sarah J. Maas, the author of the spicy romantasy book series A Court of Thorns and Roses just announced the titles and cover art of the two forthcoming books (books 6 and 7), which will graciously be released pretty close to one another.
A Court of Splintered Harmony will publish on October 27, while A Court of Forgotten Melody will publish on January 12.

Maas made the big announcement on Instagram, which simply said “What was broken will be remade” and “What was lost will be reclaimed,” about books 6 and 7, respectively. She also had billboards go live in L.A., Denver and New York City.
In March, the scribe revealed during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she had written so much for the next story that she had to break it up into three volumes: “The Valkyrie Cycle: Movement I” and “The Valkyrie Cycle: Movements II and III.”
“The story that was finally ready to come out of me was big — really, really, really big. And as I started writing this ... it came out of me in a way that surprised me,” Maas said then. “And by the time I reached the end of part one, it was like 400 pages long.”
The first of the ACOTAR series debuted in 2015 with A Court of Thorns and Roses, and followed up with 2016’s A Court of Mist and Fury, 2017’s A Court of Wings and Ruin, 2018’s A Court of Frost and Starlight and 2021’s A Court of Silver Flames.
Excitingly, publisher Bloomsbury posted the first new book’s synopsis on its website for us all to enjoy:
