Alongside your cold case documentaries, Stranger Things spinoffs and Bridgerton romances, you can also watch National Football League games on Netflix.
Starting during Week 1, on Thursday, September 10, you can catch five regular-season matchups through Super Bowl 2027.

This year, the first regular-season game is taking place in Australia. It’s one of nine planned international games that’ll take place in Rio de Janeiro, Paris, London, Madrid, Munich and Mexico City. Last year’s Week 1 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which proved successful, according to CNBC. Streamed on YouTube, the game drew 18.5 million viewers in the U.S. and 1.2 million viewers internationally. It’s reportedly a way for the NFL to grow the sport's global fan base.
No doubt, streaming the games on Netflix is meant to help with that mission. So far, here are the games Netflix has announced it’ll show live:
- San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams — Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia: September 10, 8:35pm EST / 5:35pm PT
- Green Bay Packers vs. Los Angeles Rams — SoFi Stadium in Inglewood: Thanksgiving Eve, time to be announced
- Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears — Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois: Christmas Day, 1pm EST / 10am PT
- Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos — Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado: Christmas Day, 4:30pm EST / 1:30pm PT
- NFL Week 18 — matchup to be announced: 1pm EST / 10am PT
- NFL Honors — February 2027
If you’re not a huge football fan, Netflix has expanded its sports coverage across the board. Recently it aired the World Baseball Classic in Japan, MLB Opening Night between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants, the Tyson Fury versus Arslanbek Makhmudov bout in the U.K., and WWE Raw live weekly on Netflix. It also showcased the fight between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano.
Next summer, and in 2031, it’ll exclusively broadcast the FIFA Women’s World Cup in the U.S. and Canada, and recently announced a deal with Concacaf in Mexico.
