Beginning August 18, new and returning Peacock streaming app customers (and current customers starting September 17) now are required to pay a few dollars more every month.

Peacock announced its new fees, which are as follows:
Despite turning a first-ever quarterly profit in Q2 2026 and having a whopping 48 million subscribers, this is the fourth time in as many years that the app has raised prices, according to Variety. But that’s not out of the ordinary. Basically everyone else—Netflix, Apple TV, YouTube Premium, HBO Max and Paramount+ has boosted their fees.
But Peacock is making big moves that will mean changes to your viewing experience. Announced in July, if you have YouTube Premium, you also get Peacock Premium, unlocking live sports, hit series such as Love Island USA, The Real Housewives franchise, Law & Order: SVU, Saturday Night Live, The Traitors, All Her Fault and The Office; and award-winning and blockbuster films—starting in 2027.
And on Monday, it said it’s launching a new membership program in beta that’s available initially to a randomly selected group of Peacock Premium and Premium Plus subscribers based on their “tenure” as a Peacock subscriber: Gold (three months to one year), Platinum (one to three years) and Diamond (three or more years), with select rewards tailored to each tier.

As with many things these days, the number of paid-for membership tiers is increasing alongside their fees. We don't know about you, but it's making us miss the simplicity of cable!
