Since Pokopia, Nintendo’s newest Pokémon game, dropped in March, it’s been pure ‘mon mayhem. It’s fueled a fan resurgence akin to 2016’s Pokémon GO with its absolutely adorable pocket monsters and fun gameplay. Meanwhile, the cards are only going up in value.

Now, fans will be happy to know there’s a new Pokémon show coming to Disney+ next year. Titled Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu, the stop-motion animated series will follow Sirfetch’d and Pichu on their epic journey through the Galar Region. “Together, they set out on a gallant quest to help and protect Pokémon across the region,” the series logline reads. “Their missions rarely go as planned, but their noble deeds forge their friendship as they step bravely into the unknown where peril, alliances, rivalries, extraordinary Pokémon, and endless laughs await them.”

The show’s stop-motion animation is created by the acclaimed studio Aardman, giving us a different style in which to enjoy our favorite characters. It's all thanks to a global distribution deal Disney+ penned with with The Pokémon Company International.
