The Kimpton Hotel in Shinjuku is ringing in the 2026 new year with a countdown party held on the 17th-floor loft, which has a good view of the city skyline. The event features live music, drag queen performances and casino games, along with an assortment of hors d’oeuvres. For an additional ¥5,000, you can also opt for free-flow drinks.
It’s set to be a lively evening with DJ Flamingos on the decks. There’s also stage performances by local queens Tsubako Uzushiwo, Clitolia Joroe, Prism and Temanda.
The ¥5,000 entry (excluding 15 percent service fee) also comes with a complimentary drink as well as a bowl of toshikoshi soba (‘year-crossing soba’).
