Soshigaya Onsen 21's flashy name conceals a fairly spartan bathhouse, where the soft water in the five baths contains sodium bicarbonate and is mixed in with tourmaline – good for smooth skin, apparently. The facilities include a 10m long exercise pool and three different types of saunas, the latter requiring a small extra charge.
