Hello, spring. I’ve been waiting for you!
The days are getting longer, the sun is shining and the jasmine is bloomin’. What a time to be alive – and there’s lots of fun to be had in Sydney this month.
I’m particularly excited for Sydney Fringe Festival, which is on right now with 350+ affordable, wild and fun shows taking over the city this month. It supports the arts and delivers a great Time Out (sorry, had to).
Sydney Contemporary is also back at Carriageworks this September, bringing Australia’s biggest contemporary art fair to Sydney.
Of course, there’s plenty more to get stuck into. Work your way through our guide to Sydney’s best restaurants, discover the hottest new openings (I’ve got my eye on Stanley Manly Wharf, Lo Presti’s and Serva), or keep things easy with our best cheap eats. There are also beautiful beaches, great walks, markets and plenty of bars to keep you busy.
If you’re in the mood for culture, there’s everything from exhibitions and theatre (I’ve got tickets to see Housework at the Sydney Opera House) to live music and festivals happening around town. And when you need some downtime, you can always book a treatment at one of Sydney’s top day spas.
September, bring it on.
