Generations and Dynasties, a celebration of First Nations storytelling
These intimate events (held in the Utzon room, a gorgeous space overlooking the water) will bring together talented First Nations artists, and explore how themes of resilience, creativity, discrimination and empowerment inform their music.

A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings, an inventive piece of theatre
Lovers of magical realism, this one’s for you. This boundary pushing production combines poetry, live video and storytelling to bring to life one of Gabriel García Márquez’s most famous short stories.

SongRites, a showcase of First Nations music
Combining dance, music, film, conversation and ceremony, this new performance format elevates First Nations stories, continuing the living history of Tubowgule (the land on which the Opera House stands) as a place of cultural exchange and creativity.

Curious, a fascinating series of talks
On Sunday, September 28, the Concert Hall will play host to an insightful program of talks designed to help us make sense of the rapidly changing world we live in.
