An incredible two-day festival is going down this weekend at Sydney’s Carriageworks celebrating First Nations culture, knowledge and flavours. Running on September 26 and 27, expect vibrant market stalls, live cooking demos and special guest appearances. Learn from talented and passionate First Nations chefs including Sharon Winsor, Rayleen Brown, Aunty Beryl, Bruce Pascoe and Kerrie Saunders. Plus, see cooking demos from star chefs including Kylie Kwong, Ben Shewry, Colin Fassnidge, Karima Hazim, George Calombaris, Elena Duggan and more. Entry to the Australian Native Food Festival is free, but if you wanna see the chef demos, you’ll need to buy a ticket.
Two dazzling weekly drone shows will light up Sydney Harbour on Saturday evening. Get down there early for 7.30pm or 9.30pm – and bring water and snacks. Plus, it's free.
Sydney Fringe finishes at the end of the month, so if you want to see a fabulous show this weekend, now’s the time.
Darling Square’s Moon Festival is kicking off on Saturday and running through to Sunday, October 12. From magical lanterns to lion dancing and delicious mooncake delights, the whole fam will enjoy it.
September is Negroni Month at YCK Laneways. The independently operated small bars, restaurants and creative spaces spanning York, Clarence and Kent Streets will be serving the classics all month long, along with two riffs on the beloved bittersweet cocktail. On top of ace Negronis, expect burlesque performances, live music and master classes.
