Available on YouTube, the eight-minute film follows Bantwini’s 2026 European tour, travelling through Palma de Mallorca, Lisbon, Hamburg and Berlin. It captures the international crowds and performances, but also the quieter moments that keep Bantwini grounded while taking South African music to global audiences.
In Mallorca, he performs back-to-back with fellow South African DJ Shimza, while in Berlin he joins international DJ Diplo aboard a float at the Rave The Planet Parade. Away from the stage, viewers see him sailing in Hamburg, exploring Lisbon’s historic streets and taking time to enjoy the sunset before performances.
His Amsterdam showcase also highlighted emerging South African Afro House artists Samurai Yasusa, BlaqRhythm and Thandi Draai, reflecting the wider presence of South African electronic music on the international scene.
Beyond the spectacle of touring, Golden Hour offers a glimpse of the man behind the music, exploring the importance of creative discipline, connection and being present amid a busy international schedule.
“Every city reminded me how far our music has travelled and how much more we have to share,” says Bantwini. “Sharing stages and moments with artists like Shimza and Diplo was special, but I also wanted to appreciate the journey. Now it’s time to bring that energy back home and make this a summer filled with iconic sunsets South Africa will remember.”
