Following its successful New York run earlier this year, the fashion exhibition honouring and chronicling the wonders and craft of Christian Dior is finally making its highly anticipated premiere in Singapore. The showcase is put together by fashion visionary and former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief, Carine Roitfeld, with renowned photographer Brigitte Niedermair.
The Singapore edition of this exhibition features an exclusive expanded segment: a dedicated room that pays homage to Christian Dior’s artistry and a celebration of the French fashion house’s dynamic relationship with Asia, highlighting moments where its creative directors drew inspiration from the region. The unique cultural exchanges are illustrated through images and sketches, including designs that reference Singapore. Also debuting as part of this version of the exhibition are five new works from Niedermair’s collection. The photographs will be presented alongside rarely seen haute couture masterpieces, archival gowns and moodboards from Dior Heritage to chart the Maison’s imaginative flair and inventive spirit throughout fashion history.
Rounding out the exhibition is also a series of curated programmes offering eye-opening insights into Dior’s ever-evolving legacy. It includes live craft demonstrations by artisans from Dior Atelier and special conversations with Carine Roitfeld and Brigitte Niedermair.
