This isn’t your average pasar malam. At Pasar Mad-lam, there’s more than just rows of street food and jammies. There’s art, trinkets, handmade crafts, unique finds and plenty to get mad about (in a good way). This time, the festive night market has partnered with Singapore Night Festival to take over the Outdoor Plaza at Capitol Singapore, with more than 40 homegrown vendors setting up shop.
Here’s what to add to your shopping list while there: Peranakan-inspired beaded accessories, handcrafted mosaic frames, quirky knick-knacks and graphic tees of all kinds. If you’re in the market for a brand-new signature scent, there are also booths offering one-of-a-kind fragrances, including durian and pistachio kunafa-scented perfumes. Because why not?
The market takes place on Fridays and Saturdays only, from 21 August to 5 September. Make sure to keep tabs on the organiser’s Instagram for updates on its weekly vendor lineup.
