Peranakan or not, everyone’s invited to the Armenian Street Party: A Peranakan Gathering this March. The annual bash returns with a colourful tribute to Peranakan heritage, bringing the community together for a weekend of culture, craft and seriously good food.
As with past editions, Armenian Street will be decked out in striking floral installations and thematic photo spots inspired by classic Peranakan motifs. Come dressed for the occasion and snap away – these backdrops are made for your camera roll.
Food, of course, takes centre stage. Look out for kueh picnics, dessert pop-ups, and booths serving up well-loved local favourites, all celebrating the rich flavours synonymous with Peranakan cuisine.
Beyond the bites, there’ll be hands-on craft workshops and live performances throughout the day. Adding a playful twist this year is a new crime-themed experience inspired by Mediacorp’s upcoming drama series Aunty Lee’s Deadly Delights, keeping the festivities feeling fresh.
