While you’re dressing yourself up in red and white this National Day, take the chance to also wear your Singaporean pride on your screen – by that we mean sprucing up your phone with fresh new wallpaper that’s specially created to celebrate our island city’s 60th birthday. Local art collective GOFY has teamed up with 24 emerging artists – Singaporeans, overseas Singaporeans, and individuals with a connection to Singapore – to produce 40 original mobile wallpapers that you can download for free.

With the SG60 theme ‘Building Our Singapore Together’ in mind, these relatable illustrations feature familiar local landmarks, our favourite dishes, everyday scenes at places like provision shops and HDB estates, as well as native flora and fauna – all done in each artist’s unique style.
Some are bright and cheeky, some dreamy with a watercolour effect, and some more reflective with broody dark tones, but what they all have in common is that they’re a perfect ode to the place we call home.

Of course, these SG60 illustrations remain relevant even past National Day, and don’t just need to be used specifically for the occasion. In fact, there will be a second launch of artworks from an added pool of artists in mid-August, so stay tuned.
Check out the full range of SG60 phone wallpapers and download them for free via the Singapore Global Network website.
