Encuentros: An Intimate Flamenco Experience

Encuentros treats flamenco less like a performance to watch and more like a conversation unfolding in real time. Rhythm, movement, song and improvisation shape the evening, with the performers responding to one another and, at times, to the audience. That makes the format especially appealing for anyone who knows flamenco as something more spontaneous than the polished choreography often associated with the form. The lineup includes Marina Elana, Eugenio Iglesias, Carlos Andrés Menchaca, Marián Fernández and special guest Nino de los Reyes, with Iglesias handling musical direction and original music. There are two performances on September 9, at 7pm and 9:15pm, giving you a choice between an earlier night out or a later slot that leaves more room for dinner beforehand.
